Glendalough, County Wicklow, Ireland, March 13, 2014

"Glendalough is home to one of the most important monastic sites in Ireland. This early Christian monastic settlement was founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century and from this developed the “Monastic City”." - from the Glendalough website

Gleann Dá Loch, meaning "glen of two lakes", is south of Dublin in County Wicklow. It is renowned for its Early Medieval monastic settlement founded in the 6th century by St Kevin, a hermit priest, and partly destroyed in 1398 by English troops.

City Hall Tour 12

The ballroom is being prepared for the next event. The gorgeous architecture of this building still amazes me; this room is no exception.
