Glendalough, County Wicklow, Ireland, March 13, 2014
"Glendalough is home to one of the most important monastic sites in Ireland. This early Christian monastic settlement was founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century and from this developed the “Monastic City”." - from the Glendalough website
Gleann Dá Loch, meaning "glen of two lakes", is south of Dublin in County Wicklow.
It is renowned for its Early Medieval monastic settlement founded in the 6th century by St Kevin, a hermit priest, and partly destroyed in 1398 by English troops.

Peace for all,
Judi

I loved visiting Ireland, many years ago. Lovely country - truly the "Emerald Isle" - and a very welcoming people. Of course, it helped that I looked as though I was born there!
It is truly beautiful, as are your "Irish looks". ;-)
Thanks for stopping by, Jim.
Love the photos!
Thank you, Cathy!
