Thoughtful Thursday

What if:

You turn off the TV,

go outside,

and read a book.

Peace, Judi

I am lost if I don't have a book I am reading! Much better than t.v.!

I have not read as much lately as I used to, I have old eyes and get headaches from reading. But it reminded me that as a child my favorite summer things was to go to the library and get a bunch of books then go home and take a blanket and a billow out under our huge shade tree and spend the afternoon reading. I read all of the Wizard of Oz Books and a lot more.

If I go outside I usually see something that makes me run back inside to get my camera. =)

So true Judy- let's leave computer, tv, etc alone and read something nice :)
right at this moment I am reading "Fire in the Blood" by Irene Nemirovsky.

Just this summer I've become a reader. I've read 10 books so far. My favorite place to read is our screened in porch. I love it:)

Judi, LOL If I am outside it's with my camera, but what a great idea for a post. I am currently on the 2nd Twilight book "New Moon" but I am so NOT a reader and it is going to take me a long time to finish it! :)

P.S. foranyone who reads a lot, just in case you haven't heard of this awesome place...

www.goodreads.com

You can add all the books you have read, review them, put books on a shelf to read later and see what your friends are reading! Such a cool site for people who read a lot!

Thanks to everyone that commented, hopefully you've been inspired.
The library is one of my favorite haunts - I guess because it was the first place I was allowed to go to on my own when I was a young'un.
Pam, thanks for that link. I'll check it out.
