D is for Delicate - 2013-094

D is for Delicate - 2013-094, originally uploaded by Judi FitzPatrick Studio.

The flowers of the pyracantha are bursting forth everywhere in my neighborhood; these are right outside my back door!

I just purchased the NIK Collection and this is the first image I have used it on and liked the result. What do you think?

Peace to all, Judi

Feature Friday - NaturaLLinens on Etsy

Happy Friday,

I haven't done a "POUNCE found" Friday Feature in a long, long time, but when I saw NaturaLLinens shop I knew it was time to change that.

This fabric basket  is so adorable and colorful! You'll also find pillows, napkins, and even a linen/cotton tray basket - so cute!

From the shop's announcement: "We love being able to offer items using natural fibers created by our Heavenly Father. Our family's is on an exciting journey as we strive to serve our most High in humbleness." What could be more eco-friendly!

I hope you'll take a minute or two to visit NaturaLLinens. Maybe you'll find something you can't live without.

Peace, Judi

Feature Friday - DeborahChapin on Etsy

Happy Friday,

I know I've been MIA a lot lately, and now I'm making my second post of the day! Gotta love my "Ramblings" brain, eh?!!

Today I am featuring a painter, Deborah Chapin, and I've chosen her book, Dust On My Shoes, Sun At My Back, as the featured item from her shop.

I hope you enjoy Deborah's work as much as I do!

Feature Friday - loveheartbooks

Happy Friday and July,

Well, by the calendar the year is half over; here in the northern hemisphere summer is just beginning.

Today I'm featuring a shop I once again found using Etsy's Pounce tool

This pretty sketch book, made with hand torn paper, could be yours.

Or maybe you'd prefer one of the other lovely items in the loveheartbooks shop.

I hope you'll take a few minutes to stop and look and relax on this lazy, summer morning.

Peace to all and Happy Independence Day to my US readers!

Feature Friday - dreamscapes123 on Etsy

Oh Joy and Happiness!

Yes, it's very late today. I was up late finishing a school assignment and then my Internet was very shaky most of the morning - but here I am with today's featured shop: dreamscapes123 and featured listing: Red West Coast Fabric Collage Hanging.  There are just 5 items listed so far, but they are all gorgeous. A very talented fiber artist; hope you enjoy browsing these items as much as I did.

See you soon.

Peace, Judi

Feature Friday - earthskywater on Etsy

I missed last week, but hope to be back on track because - it's Feature Friday!

Short and sweet this time. This week's shop is earthskywater. This Gentle Day Acrylic is such a peaceful image. I hope you have a chance to visit Dorothy Fagan's shop to see all of her beautiful work.

Peace, Judi

Scene Around

Yes, Scene Around, not seen around.

I recently learned a technique where-by one can use a photo, play with it in Photoshop, and come out with something dubbed an "Amazing Circle".

On the left is the "before" and on the right is the "after".

Thank you, Oyvind, who kindly shared the directions; they can be found here. If your version of Photoshop doesn't have the necessary functions, don't despair, you can create your circle at this web site.

There is also a Flickr group filled with these Amazing circles.

I plan to show you a few more of these in some future posts.

Now, please, go, have fun, create!

Peace, Judi

Validation

My friend, Karen, posted this film on her blog the other day. It's so great, I just had to share it with everyone.

It takes about 15 minutes to watch but is well worth the time. You're so worth it!

If you don't see the video above, you can catch it here.

The View From My Home Office

This is a short video of what I was watching from my office window this morning. (No need for sound as you'll mostly hear my creaking chair!)

I hope watching helps to relax you.

If you can't see the video, you can find it here.
